MOTHER OF EARTH
We
come to this physical plane
Knowing
all,
But remembering
nothing.
All
we say is misunderstood
All
that we do
Is so
far in between and few
that
we would perish
without
the caring of another
Universally
that being
is
known as Mother.
Selfless,
seemingly assured,
Compassionate
and often over-used
Seeking
little to nothing in return
Her respect
is silently earned
Mended
clothes
Bandaged
knees
Before
and after hours chauffeur
Brutal
decision maker
When
she’d rather confer
Courageous
enough
to be
unpopular.
Keen
at nurturing
Regardless
of the rest
Gives
encouragement
When
you’ve failed
But done
your best
Cheers
super loud
Almost
embarrassingly so
But preferred
over those
Who fail
to show.
Knows
when to push
And when
to withhold
Always
in your corner
With
an open heart of gold
Mother
The source
of existence
Of all
on Earth
Unrivaled
is your worth
Mother
So special,
So beautiful
So unique
So
undervalued
For your
selfless mystic
Mother
We
applaud you
We
love you
Even
when we forget to say
Mother
We adore
you
Champion
you
In
every possible way!
